At Tutifyy ("we," "our," or "the Platform"), we are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our users—including parents, students, and educators ("Tutors"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, website, and dashboard operations. By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

To provide a secure and efficient hybrid tutor marketplace, we collect the following categories of information:

  • Account & Identity Information: Name, email address, phone number, and account credentials. For Tutors, we also collect standard identity documentation and educational credentials to perform mandatory platform verification.

  • Geographic & Location Data: Precise or approximate GPS location data from your device to facilitate localized online/offline matching and safety protocols.

  • Usage & Operations Data: Information regarding your interactions with the platform, including lesson schedules, dashboard activity, and parent-tutor feedback.

  • Payment Data: Transactional details necessary to process onboarding fees, demo sessions, commissions, and monthly subscription packages. Actual financial processing is handled securely by compliance-verified third-party payment gateways.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your data to operate, maintain, and improve the trust-first ecosystem of Tutifyy, specifically for:

  • Matching Services: Utilizing geography, academic streams, and specialized filters—such as our Female-to-Female Connect algorithm—to match students with the right verified mentors.

  • Safety & Accountability: Operating our Tech-Enabled Operations Dashboard, which utilizes GPS-verified class check-ins, attendance logs, and automated scheduling verification to ensure transparency during physical home tutoring sessions.

  • Performance Tracking: Generating monthly diagnostics, automated parent feedback logs, and academic progress reports available through the administrative portals.

  • Tutor Dashboard Distribution: Displaying stream-specific student requests directly onto the active Tutor dashboard so verified educators can review and accept local leads without a traditional bidding system.

  • Badging & Optimization: Managing the Plus Blue Badge tier parameters, including tracking class volume milestones (e.g., tracking the 500-class monthly metric) or paid verification updates to adjust priority search visibility.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your information is shared strictly under the following operational paradigms:

  • Between Users and Tutors: Limited profile details (such as subject expertise, verified badge status, and location proximity) are shared between parents and tutors to facilitate proper coordination.

  • Service Providers: We share data with trusted operational vendors who provide cloud infrastructure matching backends, automated diagnostic reporting, payment gateways, and GPS-tracking systems.

  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by applicable laws, court orders, or official government regulations, or to protect the safety and vital interests of our users.

4. Security & No Forensic Criminal Background Checks

  • Platform Security: We employ commercial cloud security standards and encryption to protect your records from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.

  • Verification Boundary: While Tutifyy requires and verifies official government IDs and educational credentials to authorize platform access, we do not conduct forensic law enforcement or criminal background checks. Users explicitly acknowledge that the physical safety and final evaluation of individuals entering a home environment remains a shared domestic responsibility. We provide automated tracking features (such as GPS check-ins) to assist in maintaining transparency.

5. Your Rights and Choices

  • Profile Corrections: You can review, update, or adjust your account data at any time through your account settings or dashboard.

  • Subscription Cancellation: You may cancel continuous monthly subscription packages or request changes according to our 7-day change policy directly via the app support interface.

  • Location Permissions: You can revoke or alter GPS location permissions through your device settings; however, doing so may disable or restrict localized offline matching and automated check-in safety tracking features.
